Privacy policy
This site is intended for adult purchasers, parents, educators, librarians, and gift-givers. H&T Books does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Play for young readers
Play is designed for children ages 6–10 with adult co-play. Play keeps progress in session memory only. It does not create an account, save progress after the session, or ask a child for personal information.
Information we may process
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send. If you join the newsletter, MailerLite processes your email address and confirmation status on our behalf. If analytics is enabled and you consent, Google Analytics may process pseudonymous usage information such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and referral source.
Play has no email field. The parent and educator destination is for adults only. When available, it uses the publisher’s adult newsletter page with MailerLite double opt-in.
Why we use it
We use contact details to reply to enquiries, newsletter details to send requested updates, and consented analytics to improve books, guides, navigation, and marketing measurement.
Sharing and retention
We use service providers only where needed to operate the site, newsletter, analytics, and hosting. We do not sell personal information. Contact records are retained only as long as needed for the enquiry, legal obligations, or legitimate business records. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to necessary suppression records.
Your choices
You can decline analytics cookies, unsubscribe from any newsletter email, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. Rights vary by location.
International processing and security
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. We select established providers and use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We will update the date and wording on this page when our practices or providers materially change. This policy should receive owner and jurisdiction-specific legal review before launch.
